I was tired of taking my cars to cheap “scratch-and-shine” washes and driving away knowing the paint had taken another hit. So I picked up a wash mitt and decided to give it a go myself.
I have loved cars for as long as I can remember. As a child, I knew exactly which cars I wanted; when I finally worked hard enough to own them, looking after them properly mattered just as much as driving them.
That curiosity soon became a craft. I learned safer washing techniques, studied paint behaviour and became determined to achieve a finish that a rushed wash could never deliver.
My first serious machine polish was on a Porsche. Starting with a car like that was a huge gamble, but I took my time, trusted the process and did the job properly. The result was incredibly rewarding—and it became the moment that turned a passion into PDE.
